Hey everyone, I figure I need to put this blog to good use, so here is what this is about:

I have good friend who is in danger of being deported out of the United States to a place that he does not know. He is an undocumented student by the name of Jorge Alonso Chehade who already has his college degree and only wants a chance to stay here and become an asset to his community!!!

"Alonso is currently scheduled to report with ICE on November 16th for what could be a potential deportation from the United States.

Alonso doesn't have a way to apply for permanent residency or legal status in the United States under our current laws despite that he entered the country under aged, has a clean criminal record and got a bachelor's degree from a prestigious University.

Alonso qualifies for the DREAM Act, a legislation based on earned legalization currently co-sponsored by Senator Maria Cantwell, which is why her staff is currently and still discussing the possibility on introducing a private bill on Alonso's behalf to stop his deportation.

DREAM to Succeed

5 letters that can either make you or break you. We all dream, we all have goals and aspirations which we either sit back and stare at, or become active towards. To me, the word Dream means the difference between success and failure.

Such a powerful feeling is so hard to explain.

Dream of success, mansions, money, whatever....... thing is, you are missing the whole point. Success cannot be measured in numbers, that't the one thing I have learned lately. Making 100's on tests is easy, almost natural... but that doesn't make one successful. Having the biggest house, or the newest ride, or the biggest rims Doesn't make you a successful person!

Funny thing is, our generation has been steered away from the real definition of success, which in my opinion means being able to help others get to where you are at that point in your life. If you haven't made a difference in anyone's life (a positive difference, of course), how can you consider yourself successful? You are more selfish to me, than anything. We now have TV and the Media glorifying the BS we all wish we could have, but in reality, most of those people aren't happy with their lives. Imagine being loved for someone who you are not in everyday life, see what I'm saying?

So DREAM, and DREAM big. Yeah, you heard it as kids, but it's the only thing driving people to strive for better. Peace

Now, Funny thing is, most of these people come out here without even knowing the facts, or WHY they are even out there. Some are yelling, some are holding big signs.... They have one thing in common though.... Ignorance.

Why, Audi? Why?

Just when I thought car manufacturers couldn't get more outta wack, here comes Audi at the Frankfurt International Auto Show, with this despicable act towards automotive history...

Not that the car itself is a creation of someone's worst nightmares, but the choice of "paint job" is pitiful. Something as beautiful as a V10 Audi R8 does not deserve such skin treatment. I would love to just turn up the pigment segment here and have it all black, than this....

Aside from the choice of presentation, the car is ridiculous... 5.2 L V10 Engine, Breathing out an exhilarating 525 HP from within. The Car (or spaceship, if you prefer) is able to go 0-60 MPH in 3.9 seconds and get you up to 196 MPH. Ahh, the machine of dreams, only dressed as an ugly duckling.

How about my team? The team that is extremely unlikely to have a true fan anywhere outside of California.... How about the San Francisco 49ERS?

I'm all about the team, and since I started to watch more and more Football, I somehow managed to like the team that kept losing close games, week-in and week-out. Well, here we are today, just wishing my team a great season!

Our Glorious State

SC is commonly Regarded as uneducated, ignorant and manner-less throughout the country. Well, Last night, Mr. Wilson (The MOST ignorant of all SC Lawmakers) helped our glorious state by pulling this little number:

I can honestly say that this state is the worst-represented state in this great country. Its people such as Mr. Wilson and our Gov. Mark Sanford (Who ironically is clearly an anti-immigrant but had an affair with a Hispanic woman) who help give our state its current image. From laws that de-humanize people to national spotlight affairs, to live TV ignorance, there's a little bit of everything in this Glorious state of SC.

What a Shame to even live here right now.

Good Job Republicans, that's how you win the public back, and thus the White House/Congress....

Fragile Life

How do you know you will wake up when the sun rises tomorrow, or next week?

Man, it's a tough question, when all you question is life's problems and your own personal issues. While you spend the time thinking about earthly things, there's never time to think about what's going on above you and out of your hands. I'm always concerned with things I can't even control. I don't know if that's a mistake or just the nature of a man who wants to have control over his life...

Plain and simple though, I don't, you don't, they Don't - have control over life and the happenings of daily life. Some things are put in your hands for you to deal with yourself, but there are those who can't even imagine how to begin dealing with.

I spoke to God yesterday, not face to face, but rather Heart-2-Heart. I know the man himself was listening because I felt him. I felt him, not in the room or in my head, but I felt him speaking within me. I now know...Everything will play out as it is best for me, and the same for you (whoever "you" may be).

A good friend left this earth yesterday, off to a better place on a one-way ticket. He was one of those cats that you always knew would make it somewhere, and it's crazy because 21 years old is too young to make that journey. I'm getting there myself in a few weeks, and just the thought of boarding the bus of no return is a terrible feeling. Rest in Peace Homie, aka "Mr. Eagles Fan" as I always used to call you on the Holmes hallways and study lounges.

Life is fragile, you know? Let God handle that, because if you have been worrying about it for so long, and still haven't fixed it.... It's not meant for you to fix, my friend.

The Man I Never Met

Listen, I have something to say....

Mama once told me the story of a man she only knew for 16 years. A honorable, hard-working and loving man. She talked about him like you and I talk about our favorite celeb. or athlete. I could sense her sense of admiration for his accomplishments and the legacy he left behind.

A man I never got to meet, but somehow ended up becoming a huge part of who I am today...

I used to lay there and listen to her stories about him, he became somewhat of a Idol to me, in a Super-Hero type of way. I never looked into his eyes. I never even dealt with his personality or lifestyle, but again, he lives in me. He lives through me. Blood is blood, and where I'm from, blood is never forgotten, even if you never got to actually remember it...

I just hope I make him proud, wherever he is. That's one of my goals in life, even if no one finds out about it.
